SUMMARY:
The Director of Quality Improvement (QI) coordinates organization-wide efforts to ensure that QI/PI programs are developed and managed using a data-driven focus that sets priorities for improvements based on specific strategies. They are responsible for the successful implementation of patient centered medical home (PCMH) standards as defined by NCQA and The Joint Commission. Provides leadership and coordination for the development of quality improvement initiatives and change related to operational and clinical effectiveness. Researches and develops training programs necessary to enable the workforce to achieve improvements with performance improvement goals.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree required in public health or similar field.
• Minimum of two (2) years of project management experience in a health care setting. FQHC experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office applications required.
• Ability to self-educate and develop a thorough knowledge of PCMH and Joint Commission standards as well as performance improvement techniques.
• Ability to write routine reports, design forms, retrieves data, and the ability to speak effectively with management and staff.
• Ability to work independently and handle problems involving several concrete variables.
• Highly organized individual with excellent attention to detail.
• Exceptional planning, time management, problem solving and logical troubleshooting skills.
